Are you getting ready for a baby shower? Or maybe you want to make a little DIY wrapping paper for a baby gift. With this simple little trick, you’ll see how to make baby footprints without the baby!
For my project, I embellished a regular brown gift bag with some cute baby footprints for a friend of mine who recently had a sweet little girl. And all it took was a little pink acrylic paint and my hands.
How to Make Baby Footprints with Your Hands:
1. Make a fist and paint the “pinky” side of your hand.
2. Stamp your hand on the paper bag or other surface.
3. With a pencil, mark where the little toes should go. Keep them close to the foot. Practicing on scrap paper can be a big help.
4. With your pinky finger, stamp the toes onto your pencil marks. I found it helpful to dip my finger in the paint and stamp the plate to remove excess before doing the real prints.
If you want to add some glam, add glitter while your paint is still wet. You’ll need to do the stamping in stages, so that the non-glitter painted sections are dry.
Have you tried this before? What is your favorite way to embellish homemade wrap?
