Hello friends! A couple weeks ago, I attended a safari themed baby shower and wanted to share the pictures with you. Everything was super safari cute and . . . it was another Open House Shower, which of course I love!
Open house showers allow for a large number of guests to attend without having to provide seating for everyone and a fully-structured (and sometimes lengthy) event. Here is how it can work: As guests arrive and greet the mom-to-be, she opens the gift immediately. The gift is then tagged with the giver’s name and put on display. This way, all the other guests can enjoy perusing the cute outfits and baby items.
Guests are then invited to mingle, eat from the buffet and complete any activities/games. The only thing with an open house shower that can cause a little extra effort is the fact that you have to keep some foods warm for a longer period of time. But with a chafer or by serving off a warm stove-top, this can be an easy obstacle to overcome.
And now, enjoy the photos!
Books were given in lieu of cards. And the favors below are animal crackers!
Would you like to see this mom-to-be’s bridal shower from several years ago? It was a sweet Book-Themed Shower because of the bride’s love of reading and the fact that the couple met in a library.
