This Friday is the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton. As a wedding planner, I have been following the story, like most of the world. In fact, I just heard that the “walk down the aisle” for Kate and her father is a four minute walk! I am thinking back through my brides wondering who would have been up for such a trek.
The ceremony will be held at Westminster Abbey and the reception at Buckingham Palace hosted by Her Majesty the Queen. I can’t help but giggle and feel rather school-girlish at the idea of this spectacular affair, what we all hope will be a fairy tale come true.
Anyway, NBC is starting the coverage at 4am EST with the wedding beginning at 6AM EST. Will you be watching it? I will! I will be up before dawn, making a memory along with the rest of the watching world and appreciating something happy on the news for a change. Oh, and my mom and I will be enjoying Chocolate Chip Caramel Scones accompanied by Peach Melba Tea. One lump or two?
