Kids love choices! We try to give Sweet Boy lots of choices all within our parameters. Sometimes the choices are to deliberately guide his actions and sometimes it is just for pure fun.
On his first day of preschool, I made him a breakfast menu. He was to circle the item he wanted for breakfast. His choices were scrambled eggs, a bowl of cereal or yogurt. Don’t mind my not-so-artistic renderings!
He was super excited about it. And not only did he chose the one item, he decided he should have all three on the menu. And then consequently, when I offered him an apple, he said, “No, it isn’t on the list.” Hopefully, your child won’t be so literal about it.
Have fun with your breakfast menu tomorrow! What will you be serving?
