As I mentioned the other week, the kids and I took a drive along River Road and had a great time looking at the river, trees and animals.  At one point, we came upon a stop light, pretty much in the middle of no where.  I sat at that light for awhile, wondering when it was going to turn green.  You’ve probably been there too.  Staring at that red light, checking to see if there was a trigger to drive over by pulling forward and beginning to wonder if you should just go anyway.

As I looked around, I noticed a sign to my left on the telephone pole and a button just below it.  The sign read, “Press Button For Green Light.”  I started to chuckle.  Knowing this not to be the intention, but for a brief second wondering, if they really wanted me to get out my car, walk over to the pole and push that silly little button.  Well, the light turned green anyway and I proceeded, not without snapping this quick picture first.

Something about this struck me funny!  Anyway, I continued to chuckle about it the rest of the drive.  I told my husband about it, who didn’t find the same humor in it.  He assured me it was for bicyclists.  Ah, that makes a little more sense now.  Yet, even still, a smile graces my face as I think back to that lonely sign in the middle of no where.

What can you find humor in today?  Something a co-worker, your child or friend says?  Something you see at the store?
