Sweet, juicy watermelon makes for a great summer treat. All of the summer picnics, graduation parties and barbecues seems to offer an abundance of watermelon wedges to enjoy. And I love it!
Today, since it is National Watermelon Day (didn’t you know?), we’re having some simple fun with this seasonal fruit. All you’ll need are cookie cutters.
Slice the fruit to whatever thickness you like. (My flowers are pretty thick.) Then cut into the shapes that will thrill your kids or suit your party theme. I used flowers and trains. You may notice I have a fun shape over the glass. (If you follow me on Facebook, you may have seen, yesterday, the two new special shapes I bought for purposes like this.)
