A couple weeks ago, my son’s Preschool teacher gave each child a construction paper basket to take home. The baskets were simple, but adorable and got my wheels turning.
These baskets would be fun favors for a little girl’s flower power birthday party, a baby shower or even a bridal shower. Simply dress them up with theme colors, add filling, a ribbon, message and fill them with a fun little favor. Hang them on a guest’s chair or a cool screen.
Get creative! For a girl’s birthday, fill the basket with a couple silk flowers and flower jewelry and you’re set. For a shower, try an edible treat. Maybe gourmet chocolates or professionally decorated sugar cookie to suit the theme. I think I may even use these as Tea Party favors.
The large basket was made with 12×12 Scrapbook Paper Cardstock. The left smaller basket with 8×11 (cut to square) cardstock and the purple basket was the construction paper basket my son’s teach made. Pipe cleaner handles are used for the two smaller baskets. I made the embellishment and message with my Silhouette Cameo
although you could also use a hand-held circle/scallop cutter
and then hand write the message.
Have fun!
