Make Your Own Flavored Hot Chocolate

As the cold weather approaches, I know I should be reaching for a cup of green tea. But let’s face it, I am looking for something a little sweeter and … well, chocolate. I love flavored Hot Chocolate! But not only is it costly, I often don’t have the packets in my pantry.

Here are a couple ways to stir in yummy flavor to your next cup of Hot Chocolate:

Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate – Sprinkle in a little pumpkin pie spice.  Perfect for Fall!

Peppermint Hot Chocolate -Add one peppermint candy or part of a candy cane.

Mint Hot Chocolate – Break up and add one or two Andes mints to your cup.  Stir until melted.

Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate – I add two miniature Reece’s Peanut Butter cups for a nice PB blend.

Check your grocery store’s bulk candy aisle and experiment!

  1. I love this idea! It would be neat in a gift jar, too, for a whole batch. I am in total holiday gift making mode now! LOL
