Beauty in the Moment Challenge

Do you stop and smell the roses?  Ok, you know I’m not talking about the literal roses.  I don’t even have roses in my yard . . . and if I did, they would probably die before I could smell them.

What I am after is IF you take time to enjoy the special moments of the day.  Do you pause and find delight and joy in the beauty around you?  I find it is pretty easy to march through my day on a mission to accomplish the duties of wife, mother, homemaker, chauffeur and well, you know, the list goes on and on.

But for the next 21 days, I am going to ask you to slow down your busyness, seek out beauty in the moment and capture it with a photo.  We are going to purposefully look for little things that bring a smile to our faces and allow us to savor the moment.  You may see a spectacular sunrise like I did on Monday, catch the sweet smile of your child or a funny antic.  Maybe you’ll see one last summer blossom holding on through the chilly breeze of Autumn or capture the glow of a sweet-scented pumpkin candle.

There are no rights and no wrongs to the beauty you discover.  Just be on the look out for things that will make you enjoy the moment and snap your photo.  I will be sharing what I find on Instagram & Twitter and I hope you will join me!  And by the way, I have just switched to a public profile, so please come follow me so I have more than 2 followers!
