Easy & Practical Teacher Gift

easy, practical & lovely gift for teacher

I have a go-to end of the year teacher gift.  It isn’t super creative.  It isn’t ultra personalized.  But it will add beauty to the teacher’s home and not wind up in some box in the basement.

A simple hanging basket.

We like to add some sort of cute tag or sign (see the DIY chalkboard ladybug garden stake).  These purple petunias are from last year’s hanging basket.  We added, ”If teachers were flowers, I’d pick you.

I cut the flower with my Silhouette Cameo and used the print/cut feature for the circles.  My son then wrote a message on the back.

Easy peasy!

When you have three kids in school and are on a tight budget, even inexpensive gifts (times 3) get expensive. We do hand-written notes from the children to each teacher telling them what they liked and learned throughout the year.

  2. Lindsay, gifts can certainly add up! I love the idea of hand-written notes. That is something sweet and precious for the teacher to hold on (and it stores well!). Thanks for sharing! Have a great summer. :)
